Poker Ledger (“the app”, “we”) helps you track home poker games and settle up. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data the app handles and why. It is a summary written to be readable, not a legal contract.

Who this is for

Poker Ledger is intended for adults (18+). It records money-based home card games and is not directed at children.

What we collect

• Account details — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We use these to identify your account and show who you are.
• Game data you enter — players, buy-ins, cash-outs, session notes, line-up presets, and virtual-table activity. This is the core of what the app stores for you.
• Premium status — whether you have purchased Premium (a simple flag), so paid features unlock.
• Local device storage — small preferences (such as your default line-up and dismissed prompts) are stored in your browser, not on our servers.

What we do not collect

• We never see or store your card or bank details — payments are handled entirely by Stripe (see below).
• We don't track your location, contacts, or browsing outside the app.

The services that run the app

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore) — hosts your account and stores your game data securely. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Stripe — processes Premium payments. When you upgrade, Stripe collects and handles your payment details directly; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded. Governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Google Gemini — only when you generate an AI recap, the players' names and net results for that game are sent to Google's Gemini model to write the summary. No payment or account-login data is sent.
• Vercel — hosts and serves the app.

How your data is shared

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Data is only processed by the service providers listed above, purely to make the app function.

Live tables

When you join a shared virtual table, other players at that table can see your display name and chip stack during the game — that's how the game works. They cannot see your email or any of your other history.

Your rights

• Access — you can view and export all your game data from within the app (Settings → Data Management).
• Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and game data at any time via Settings → Request account deletion, or by emailing us. We will remove your stored sessions, presets and account.
• If you are in the UK or EU, you have additional rights under UK GDPR / GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Data retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your data, your stored sessions and presets are removed. Payment records held by Stripe are retained by Stripe as required for financial and legal compliance.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
